The first photos are from the vendor, The last two mine. The star is not as definite as on the vendor's photos, I see 4-rays, but visible, centered, and travels well. The color, on the other hand, is much better IRL - purple and more saturated than on the vendor's photos. For a cab, the stone is clean. Size 8.6 x 6.6. Per vendor’s description, it is 3.3 ct. Selling because I am not a cabochon person. Price negotiable. Should you feel interested, I am happy to take additional photos in different lights.

Harlequin Pattern is the rarest of them all, it occurs maybe once for every 100.000 Opals mined and having this amazing checkerboard pattern with almost perfect squares is even more rare.
This is an amazing Natural Solid Untreated Gemstone created by Mother Nature!
The Color Distribution in this Opal is Absolutely Magnificent, you can find all possible colors in this Gemstone which Opal produces, from the burning red, orange, yellow, green, blue and they all light up brilliantly in the small squares and move also within each square and they also change colors in the same square. You have to hold it in your hand in order to be able to see this great color play.
Perfect Investment Stone!!
It's a rare Opportunity to own such an exquisite Opal Gemstone! Jewelry Designers, Collectors or anyone who adores Opals don't miss it out!!!
This Opal would make an awsome Jewelry piece! It has a perfect size for an awsome Ring!!
Size of the Opal: 13 mm round and 3 mm thick
Weight of the Opal: 3.86 CT (1 Gramm = 5 CT)
Brigthness of the Opal: 3.5 out of 5
Body Tone: Face of the Opal N4/N5; Back of the Opal N3(Semi Black/Black)
This is a Solid Natural Black/Semi Black Opal as the Back of the Opal is Black however the Face of the Opal is a bit lighter so it is classified as a Semi Black, N5 in Body Tone Opal, however I would say it is a Black Opal as it is really at the border.

There aren't many Opals of this Quality in the World, very rarely are put up for sale, the most of them are in private collections and will remain there.
There are not many mines and miners left in Lightning Australia so the chance of unearthing Opals like this is very close to 0.
It's a perfect Investment Stone! The prices of Opals boomed within the last few years and the prices will get just higher because of the high demand and lesser production.

Beautiful, fabulously cut red Malaya garnet (Tanzania) by Peter Torraca. The stone has a rich deep color and incredible sparkle. It is red with slight orange modifiers.
The stone is 3.14ct and measures 7.29x9.44x5.96mm. It is cut in Peter's 'Victoria modified' style. Absolutely eye clean (probably in the VS or VVS range but I don't have specs on that from Peter's original info).
Asking $250, originally paid $480. Thanks for looking!

This deposit from Honduras is one of the oldest recorded opal mines in the world. It is also one of the largest opal deposits in the Western Hemisphere. The mine has been yielding precious opal since the early 1800's and is still quite productive. Precious seam opals are the most valuable type from Honduras. These opals are found in vertical seams in blocks of volcanic black basalt outside of the town of Erandique. The seams are often thin so opals are polished with the matrix rock still attached. An identical technique used to polish natural Australian boulder opals.

Hi, This is a lavender spinel cut by Dan Stair. I would describe the color as a cool lavender with pink sparkle. However it seems to be a little more of a purple outdoors. I need to add some outdoor photos too.

I bought this a few years ago from his web site. I can't remember the exact carat weight. But you can see the stone in one photo next to a ruler. 1.79 is in my memory for some reason but so is 2.11. So somewhere around there I guess? It was described as a medium blue green color when I purchased it. It also was described as having some sleepiness due to microscopic particles. I can't say I notice this. But it is kind of flashy for an aqua. So maybe they catch the light? I will add an outdoor photo tomorrow. My house is dark and it's hard to capture the delicate color of the stone. I am going to post a few other loose stones as well

Stone: Chrysoberyl
Weight: 2.02 ct.
Dimensions: 9.78 x 7.21mm
Cut: Radiant Oval/Cushion
Origin: Sri Lanka
Clarity: Loupe Clean
Treatment: None
Color: Chartreuse, more yellow in direct light, more green in indirect light, and neon in LED/Fluorescent.
Price: $300 (includes any shipping/Insurance)
I recommend viewing the pictures on your mobile device for accurate color. All my photos underplay the green a bit.
Dan Stair recut this from a much larger stone. The result was that he kept much of the size. At an average LxW of 8.5 mm it faces like a 3 ct stone and will be quite the statement piece.
The cutting is awesome. The crown is flatter than ideal, but Dan managed to eek plenty of dispersion from the radiant cut. It has a real art deco look to it and would be captivating in an art deco or vintage style ring.
The color is also fabulous. I think of it as lemon-lime--sometimes lemon, sometimes lime, and often both. But it also contains something even more magical. In fluorescent, LED light, or even some weird low daylight, it goes full on nuclear neon.
This is a great stone for someone who wants to wear it in office or strong daylight. While still nice in cloudy or incandescent light, it really shows off in fluorescent, LED, and strong daylight. I don't have a great picture of it's neon side, but I'll do my best to get one upon request. Photos are all taken in natural daylight.
I'm a private collector, but I'll allow a 3-day inspection of the stone during which you can send it back for a refund (minus shipping and $25 as a running around fee).
