Video magnifies inclusions, these cannot be seen with the naked eye. This is one killer Rhodolite. video does not quite do it justice. It has everything going for it, color, tone, cut, & carat weight. This is one bold stone. Depending on the light & intensity, it can be a magenta color to purple, filled with red & purple flash. Lots of sparkle from a portuguese round cut. The tone verges on being medium tone, but I'll call it a light medium dark, just to be safe. You may think that this is a Mahenge or Mozambique Rhodolite, but it's from Sri Lanka, & Sri Lanka have been producing these superior Rhodolites for years, not to mention the huge price difference. If this Rhodolite was from either Mahenge or Mozambique, the price would be much more. The stone faces up eye clean, though if you hold the table up to eye level & tilt it a little, you can see three small inclusions under the crown. You can also see an inclusion halfway down the pavilion, but none of these ruins the face up beauty of the stone. You won't find many Rhodolite’s out there this big (whopping 13.56 mm) with all this going for it at $200.00 a carat! A gem!
