Beautiful antique Victorian earrings, sold to me as dating to approximately the 1880s. They are crafted in tested 14K yellow gold and feature tiny old mine-cut diamonds in charming buttercup-style settings.
The earrings can be worn in two ways. Wear the small diamond studs alone for a simple antique look, or attach the removable flower drops for a more dramatic “night and day” style. Each drop has finely textured leaves and an articulated flower that moves gently when worn. The diamonds measure approximately 2.5 mm each.
One drop has an older repair where it connects to the diamond stud. The repair was disclosed when I purchased the earrings and is not noticeable while they are being worn. Please review the photographs carefully. The original seller also noted that larger diamond studs could be substituted for the small original studs.
The earrings include the antique box shown in the photographs, along with a copy of the original listing for provenance.
