A royal treasure from the Georgian era, Circa 1780-1820. This ring was the property of a princess per Sotheby’s when it was at auction several years ago. Which princess remains shrouded in mystery as that information was not given to maintain privacy but the imagination runs wild when contemplating what historic figures and events this ring has witnessed! The Rose cut center diamond measures approximately 8.5-9.5mm in it’s silver collet, unable to measure depth due to the closed back as common of the Georgian era when the ring was crafted entirely by hand. The gold band features beautiful deep carving of scrolls and flowers, what a romantic ring! A beautiful and rare example of a moment in time that is truly irreplaceable—and a perfect representation of a once-in-a-lifetime love. Currently a size 6.5, able to be sized to suit.
