I'm listing my mother's 18k yellow gold and platinum band that was purchased in 1989 from Limon Jewelers in Bethesda, Maryland. We have a photo of the original sales receipt stating that this has five 0.14ct diamonds, is size 5, and cost $1900. The stones are set in platinum with the rest of the band in 18k yellow gold. It fits more like a 4.75 due to the width of the ring and is pictured on my size 4.5 pinky. The ring weighs 7 grams on a postal scale (no decimal measurements to be more precise) and it feels substantial and weighty in the hand, but is still low-profile and smooth. It is 7.1mm wide at the top and 2.6mm wide at the base.
Robert Limon, who made the ring, was an early proponent of ideal cut diamonds, wrote guidelines for AGS, and worked on the Hope Diamond. There's a link to their website below with more history. The diamonds are beautifully cut, lively, white, and eye clean. The ring is in "great shape" according to Robert Limon's grandson Cliff who owns the business now. It hasn't been worn since the late 90's and was worn gently before that. Anyone who is into chunky yellow gold bands is really going to love this ring! My photos and video don't do the diamonds or the setting justice, it's a much nicer ring than the typical yellow gold channel set bands of the time. The last photo shows the band next to a certified D/IF 0.50ct diamond for color comparison. This pendant is not included in the sale.
I have purchased several times on LoupeTroop and am newtojewels on Pricescope.
