Snakes continually shed their skin and are considered an ancient symbol of rebirth and renewal. In the Victorian Era they became very popular as symbols representing eternal love due to Queen Victoria receiving an engagement ring in the form of a serpent with a inset Emerald, her birthstone.
This wonderful antique ring (circa 1905-1930) features a coiled up snake with a very dark blue green natural star sapphire cabochon on its head and two natural Ruby eyes. The ring is 14k gold, marked to the interior, and in very good condition for it's age. It is currently a size 7 and has not been resized as the engraving goes all the way around the band. It is sizable, however sizing will disrupt the engraving. 0% Interest Layaway Plans available, Video of this and all our other listings can be viewed by requesting a you tube video link or found on our Instagram Vanessaatheritagejewelry
