This is a deep pink heart shaped 0.96 carat spinel cut by Brett Kosnar of KosnarGemCo on Etsy. The first two pictures are mine. The last one is from Brett's original listing. This price is a deep discount from what I paid. It's a lovely stone, but I have too many loose stones to set. Someone else needs to enjoy this pretty little treasure.

They have a very similar chemistry and physical properties, so these stone should absolutely be just as valuable as rubies. This stone is from Tanzania, which is one of the leading producers of Spinel in the world. The quality they have produced lately has been outstanding and some of the finest in the world.
