Offered for sale is an 18K yellow gold five stone OEC ring with hallmarks placing it as manufactured in Bristol England in 1893. I purchased this from an Etsy antique vendor based in England--Lillicoco. I love this ring and hate to part with it, but I have my eye on something really special, so I need to raise the cash to move forward. The first picture is mine. The rest of the pictures are from the original vendor. The following description is from the original listing:
"This spectacular Victorian 5 Diamond ring is a beautiful example of late 18th Century design and craftsmanship. It has a total of 0.75 carats of Old Cut Diamonds, expertly set into fine 18ct Gold, so it sparkles and shines magnificently.
We love the way that the old cuts shine differently to modern brilliant cut Diamonds. They have a charming and distinct fire that manages to catch the eye in all lighting conditions!
The Diamonds are of exceptional quality, with a bright white colour and excellent clarity. We estimate the Diamonds to be D-G colour and VS-VVS clarity.
The ring is ever so slightly graduated, with the largest Diamond (a 0.50ct gemstone!) in the centre. But it still works well as a stacking ring, and sits nicely with other band type rings if you want to wear it as a wedding, anniversary or eternity ring. It also has a typical antique claw-setting so you can rest assured it can be worn with confidence.
Diamonds are very hard gemstones so are an ideal choice for an engagement ring, wedding ring or very special dress ring for daily wear.
Overall a very lovely, twinkly ring with bags of authentic antique charm!
