Genuine Antique 14k Yellow Gold Amethyst and Seed Pearl ring from the Victorian era (1837-1901). At the center resides a charming Old European Cut Amethyst with a tall crown and open culet. It measures approximately 12.4mm across (Diamond equivalent of a 7.0 carat) and is secured by seven small prongs. Surrounding the Amethyst are seed pearls of varying size, averaging 2mm, one may have been replaced sometime in its long history. The ring is crafted in 14k yellow gold and is marked to the interior of the band as shown. Hand engraving flows down the shoulders of the ring. Currently a size 7 and sizable.
