Description

This is a rare large 8.46 Carat Blue Star Sapphire! The asterism or star is directly over center when looking straight on. Natural star Sapphires like this one have a fibrous look and you can see the hexagonal banding and iridescent silk makeup within the stone. I also took pics from different angles so you could see the star move which is another sign of a genuine stone. The back was left rough and can be hidden in a setting or changed by a jeweler. I can work with you on price. Actual size is 12.6x 10.3x 5.9mm.
