Genuine antique, not a reproduction, Platinum Sapphire and Diamond Engagement Ring. The central stone is a Old European cut White or Colorless Sapphire 7.3mm in diameter, equivalent in size to a 1.5 carat diamond. Sprinkled throughout the setting are forty-two small accent diamonds that sparkle at every turn. There is even a diamond on each of the four prongs holding the central sapphire. They are of excellent color and clarity totaling .32ctw and further enhanced by the absolutely fantastic detail of the ring. The pierced and milgrained details are in as new crisp condition and the ring has never been sized as evidenced by the continuous engraved design which curves around the band to meet in a flower at the bottom of the band. The current size is between a 5.5 and 5.75 however due to the space under the ring and the way it fits on the mandrel we believe there is a little wiggle room and this ring could comfortably fit sizes 5.5 - 6. The ring is unmarked, tested for platinum and weighs a heavy feeling 3.9 grams. It is it ready to be loved for another lifetime with its new owner. This one of a kind ring is in excellent antique condition.
