This Spinel could be mistaken for a Tanzanite, but it is a Spinel which is considerably harder & tougher & can be worn every day in a ring. Like Tanzanite it is violet under LED & fluorescent light, shifting to more of a bluish violet under sunlight. It will turn an electric purple/violet under incandescent & some commercial lighting. Lots of dispersion (the video does not do the dispersion justice) in a bright medium dark tone that is closer to medium than dark. Good cutting gives this stone lots of life & brilliance. Eye clean. Nice Spinel.
