A very sweet rose cut diamond ring in a pear shape! Diamond measures 5.91 x 4.89 x 2.28 bringing the carat weight to 28 points per my appraiser. D color (she was amazed at the color) SI1 clarity due to some chipping on the girdle of the fat end, it is hard to see in the setting. She estimated that the diamond dates as far back as the 1700's but the setting is newer. The ring has had minimal work done, there was a prong that was replaced and it has been resized so the shank is thin in the back, one prong does need to be adjusted as it is not touching the diamond.
