Up for sale is a stunning antique platinum asscher cut aquamarine & diamond ring. The likely unheated genuine aquamarine gemstone was precision cut by Peter Torraca of Torraca Gemcutting & is a beautiful light to medium greenish blue (seafoam) color. It weighs 1.50 carats and measures 7.09mm x 7.12mm x 5.07mm. It has a natural feather, but Peter was able to place it near the corner of the stone so it faces-up eye clean. True antique platinum setting from the early 1900's with stunning filigree detailing and wheat engraving on both sides. There are four small old cut diamonds accenting the center stone that are approximately G-H in color, SI1-SI2 in clarity and weigh approximately 0.15ctw. The ring is currently a size 8 but could easily be re-sized by your local jeweler. It is not stamped but has been tested to be platinum. It weighs approximately 3.04 grams. There appears to have been some work done at one time underneath the setting, next to one of the smallest diamonds (only on one side) -- there is a little darkening in this area but it is mostly underneath & not easily visible when worn.
