Note on video pictures – This has proven to be the hardest Welo Opal for me to photograph by far. I spent hours photographing. The pictures are ok. The video is much better (though it goes out of focus a couple of times, due to the brightness of the opal), but, neither does this stone justice to what it looks like in person. You have to see this in person to really appreciate its beauty.

This is one of two Welo Opals I bought from my supplier’s private collection. He said, “this is one of the finest Pinfire pattern Opals, I ever had.” I must concur, this is the best I’ve ever seen too. It is like a galaxy of multi colored stars exploding like little vivid neon flash bulbs in a semi-transparent crystal. Depending on the light, they can be larger or smaller, even both. Highly 3-D red, orange, green, yellow, & blue, predominate this stone, but also, some violet & purple can be seen in the right light. No matter the lighting though, this stone talks, & talks loudly.

Semi-transparent crystal. No dead spots. Great cutting proportions. No cracks. No poc holes. No potch. This Opal definitely resides among the best I’ve ever offered for sale.
