I have a platinum screw backs basket setting for earrings. There are 2 pieces for sale.

It will hold a 0.5ct round stone or 5.25mm round stone. please see picture to confirm the sizes. Note the stone is NOT FOR SALE only for comparison in sizing.

I swam into a swimming rope 5yrs ago and you can see there is a slight kink in one setting. The jeweler has stated that this is all ok.
