Note - Opals of this quality (especially this opal) are always better (more vivid & bright) in person, as the camera does not see like the human eye. Red will look pink sometimes, other colors will not show up as well, especially violet & purple.

This is a tremendous Welo Opal specimen. One of the finest I’ve had for sale. The only reason I’m not asking $20.00 a carat more, is there is a small patch of matrix on one side of the bottom of the stone. This does not affect the face up or side of the stone at all visually. It runs maybe ¼ of a mm deep. It wil have no bearing on the stone’s stabily to be set. It is polished into the stone. The video makes it look much worse that is it. Makes it look like there is a divot on the bottom one side, but what you are seeingis matrix. It is shown at the end of the video.

All the colors are here in vivid neon full blown 3-D (8.60 mm deep), in a semi-transparent crystal! This Opal looks like it has its own lights inside, it is so bright. A kaleidoscope of swirling beautiful colors. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet & purple are here in abundance. It is so bright, that even with a hint of light hitting it, it will talk, loud & clear.

Great cutting proportions. High dome. No cracks. Ony the small spot of matrix on this stone, & you cannot seeit, unless you turn the Opal over on its botton, where it is located. Again, it is totally invisible face up & on the side.
