Description

Purchased from Doug Menadue of Bespoke Gems a few years ago but never got around to setting it. It does have a small nick in the culet which is not visible to the naked eye (it is not easy to find even with a 10x loupe) and would not be seen face-up. You could repolish it or else set it as is. It does not have any impact on the beauty or durability of the stone - I'm just disclosing this for the sake of transparency.

Comments : This is a very fine bubblegum pink tourmaline from Afghanistan. Afghanistan is renown for the exceptional quality of its tourmaline and this is a fine example. The gem is very bright and looks wonderful in all lighting conditions and the colour really is lovely. The Scissor Cut design gives it a very flashy action. This gem would make a great ring stone.
