This stone is almost 3 cts of Australian Lightning Ridge opal. perfection. Blues and greens flash from all angles. This stone would make an amazing ring -- I love these colors with halos -- or pendant.

On Australia's rating system, this stone is considered "dark" and is an N5. It rates 4 out of 5 in brightness.

Weighs 2.95 cts.

The size of the stone is 12.1 x 8.8 mm.

Thickness of the stone is 4 mm. Slightly domed.

Everything about this opal is superb from the cut to the polish to the back of the opal. I bought it directly from a second generation opal cutter in Australia. The same guy has cut and polished all of my opals and after doing the opal go-round buying from different sellers, I won't ever buy from anyone/anywhere else.
