I recently bought this from a second-generation master opal cutter and polisher in Australia, and it's not "the" opal for me, although it is spectacular.

The first three photos are from the cutter, Miklos, and the last two are from me. The vendor pictures and video are accurate representations of this SOLID, black opal from Australia's Lightning Ridge.

Selling for $875. This is less than what I paid, and I paid wholesale price so this is an amazing price for such a dark, high-performing opal. If you are even a little bit into opals, you should grab this as I am always on the lookout for knock-out stones at great prices, and I RARELY see them, especially with a rainbow of gorgeous colors.
