1.52ct Untreated Tanzanite by Ryan Quantz. 7.34x5.87mm cut in a Graham Mock Emerald. Set in a custom hand-forged 14k rose gold halo ring with 0.28tcw of diamonds by Heart of Water Jewels. Size 6.5.

I love love love this tanzanite!!I can't believe that I am listing it for sale, but I am trying to fund an upgrade.

The amazing cutting speaks for itself, and this color in untreated tanzanite is rare as most tanzanite is heated. It is a beautiful violet blue from most angles and from some angles can show a hint of green (it is pleochroic which is common in untreated tanzanite, but this quality is destroyed upon heat treatment).

The ring has only been worn a few times after I received it in Oct 2014. It could do with minor tightening of prongs but otherwise is in near-new condition. I find myself not wearing it that much because I realize that I prefer bright-cut pave and vintage styles more. I considered resetting it but it is a beautiful ring and I don't like the idea of separating the stone from its custom setting.

It would be great as a RHR or alternative engagement ring.
