Finding this stone was like a search for the holy grail because I knew exactly what I wanted-- an antique cut pear with fluorescence. After years of pricescope education, I felt confident going with my eyes, rather than trusting someone else to source a stone by paper. It was sold as a 1.51ct H SI1, but really shows no tint at all. We named her Henrietta :) It's a shallow cut stone with ZERO bowtie. For that reason, it faces up HUGE!!! It easily faces up like a 2ct stone and gets a million compliments. The setting is 14kt white gold, custom made by Ben Moses in NYC. The work is all hand carved. It's a ring with soul which made me exceptionally happy for a very long time. There are a total of eight stones on the band and the rest is engraving. We got a verbal appraisal at the Original Antique Show by a Skinner Appraiser at a replacement value of $18,000.
