It was sold to me as a solid platinum band with French cut sapphires. I'm not that experienced with cuts, but I'm not positive these stones are French cuts, though they are square. Very slightly worn, size 6.75. I seem to only wear white metals nowadays, so this ring hasn't been getting much wear. This ring is in 14K rose gold. I asked the Madelynn if it could be resized and she said that it could be made smaller by a jeweler with a laser welder. I'm not sure that it can without disrupting the rapunzel pattern of the band. It can't be resized larger. This ring is fully bezeled on the sides, so a band won't sit flush against it. You can clean the stone from beneath though. It's a delicate, beautiful, handmade ring. I just received this custom cut fire opal from Jeff Davies and it is more orange than I expected. I wanted a yellow stone and this was listed as "yellow" but I see a lot of orange in real life.
