It can now make someone else smile each day :). The sapphire (4.06 ct, approx 8x10mm) is a beautiful deep ocean blue. It can sometimes have a purple tint to it that is really wonderful! It is cut a bit wonky to get the purple tint (that's what I wanted)- the purple is at the bottom of the stone. It could be recut to be solid blue if desired. The 8 baguettes and 42 full cut round diamonds (baguettes are .37 ct and rounds are .47 ct) are gorgeous (F/G color and VS) and the perfect match for the blue! The setting is so unique and elegant, and it feels so comfortable on. It is about 4mm wide (comfort fit) and then tapers in toward the main stone. It is a size 5 ring, but very easily sized. The stones are modern cut stones, but they are high color and gorgeous in an absolutely incredible setting. Here are the specs: Center OEC (based on appraisal): 1.25 ct (6.63 x6.57 mm x 4.54) J / VS1 depth 68% table 48% girdle- very thin to med, frosted symmetry good polish good culet large 12 surrounding OECs: .72 ctw H / VS 1.97 ctw for the ring, weight is 4.41 g. It measures 14mm across- incredible finger coverage. It sits low to medium on the finger and is oh so comfortable!!! It is a size 6, but obviously resizable. The setting is 18kt white gold and platinum. It is so precise and you cannot even see the prongs!
