star sapphire, entry level as the price reflects, but it does star easily and the color is nice. It reacts well to light and the star moves with the light source. The pearls are really beautiful - very white with some iridescence at times, most of the pearls are at least 1/2" long or more, stringing thread has some very slight discoloration at the closure area.
