Price is Firm - Fresh in from GIA this impressive hand cut natural antique diamond is ready to be the shining star of any fine jewelry piece. This diamond was hand cut by a artisan over 100 years ago for beauty, not to hit certain "ideal" measurements. While called a Circular Brilliant by the standards set forth by GIA it would commonly be called a Old European Cut or a Transitional Cut within the trade. It features a open culet and smaller table compared to modern round diamonds. We personally find antique diamonds to have a charm and unique beauty that modern diamonds lack and love the larger flash type of sparkle that this cut is known for. As with most diamonds from this era this beauty faces up much whiter than the grade would suggest due to the style of cutting. This diamond appears white to the eye and will appear white when set into white metal such as platinum or 18k white gold. We are offering the diamond unset in case you wish to create your own custom ring but we do have the original Platinum Art Deco Mounting as shown in some of the photos. We are happy to set the diamond in the mounting and repair the prongs, engraving, and size to fit but please note this may take up to a month as we will have to send it to our expert restorer out of state and there would be an additional fee for labor, we would need to get an estimate from the restorer if this service is desired. Please feel free to ask any questions - I am happy to help! Follow us on Instagram for sneak peeks of our newest finds prior to listing Vanessaatheritagejewelry
