I recently upgraded my three-stone ring, so it's time to find a new home for this stunning piece! It’s no small ring at a total estimated carat weight of 3.55 total carats! This ring features a 1.70ct Old European Cut diamond (GIA certified, report #2235522374) with VS1 clarity and a color grade of QR (though more on that below!). The cut is truly exceptional, textbook perfect with a 48% table, 67.1% depth, and amazing facet structure. It measures 7.4 x 7.52mm, and it absolutely glows.
The side stones are uncertified old mine cuts, but sold to me as estimated at SI1 I/J color 1.85 SI1 carat total for both sides, with soft, cushiony shapes and beautiful sparkle. Based on my own measurements (done as best I could with the prongs in the way!), they’re around 6mm each.
The ring is currently a size 5, but it's easily resizable—confirmed by David Klass. There is a hallmark of 1615, no clue what it means. The vendor said it tested as platinum.
Now, about that QR color grade from GIA… Honestly, I think someone was having a rough day over there. I've compared this stone side-by-side with my other 3-stone ring that has an L and an M, and they all look identical in color. To me, it looks more like an N, maybe OP at most. QR just doesn't make sense—so take that with a grain of sparkle.
