Description

This sapphire three stone is so beautiful. Antique, platinum, with an AGL Certified UNHEATED blue sapphire from the Pailin mines of Cambodia (Kashmir-like), natural OEC diamond side stones, and single cut diamond melee. Size 5.

Sapphire carat weight has been estimated at around 0.86. Dimensions of sapphire are approx 5.6-5.2 x 3.73 mm. It was graded mounted by AGL so exact weight and measurements unknown.

Ring design includes fine milgrain and a pierced star/flower motif basket with 3 single cuts on each side, and 4 single cuts down each shank, for a total of 14 single cut diamonds and 2 OEC diamond sidestones - 3.7mm diameter, est J color (face up white), VS-SI1 (eyeclean).

Photos taken in sunlight / bright light show a gorgeous bright, saturated blue. Photos taken in shade / low light show that the sapphire does go darker if environment is low light, but it still looks blue, just dark/deep blue with flashes of electric blue. Absolutely NO windowing!

Lang Antiques recently had a very similar ring available - just a little bit larger but over double the price. This is what Lang says about PAILIN origin:
"In the world of sapphires, those closest in color to Kashmir (the rarest and most coveted) and Burmese (close runner up) originate from Pailin, Cambodia."
