This is an absolutely stunning antique diamond and ruby horseshoe pin/brooch. It is all done is 10k yellow gold but has a beautiful patina and looks very buttery, like a higher karat. There is approximately 1 carat total of diamonds and rubies. They are all authentic antiques, wonderful old chunky cuts! The diamonds are clear and sparkling, very tall crowns, look like small peruzzi cuts. The rubies are gorgeous and clear, they glow and sparkle, you can tell all the stones are high quality! The beauty can not fully be captured in photos. The pin itself looks like a previous conversion, or like it was damaged and repaired at some point. It’s in nice condition but it’s not perfect. It would make an excellent project piece, either turned into a pendant or ring. I had plans to make it a pendant but I’ve decided to start another project. It’s very hard to part with this piece as it is stunning and rare to come by. Also comes with an appraisal from Canada, I purchased it from a Canadian seller. Valued at over $1k!
