A local jeweler made the halo setting for me about 6-7 years ago. I only wore this for special occasions, so it's in great condition. It's 14k white gold. I don't remember the total carat weight of the melees, but they aren't tiny and you can tell they are well cut. The melees are very white and sparkly and match well with the colorless center stone. There is no bowtie in the pear!
