A beautiful 2.77ct. 10x8mm precision cut oval Aquamarine I purchased from Jerry Newman of Gemart Services. Jerry offered this stone to me before listing it on his site and said “It’s an aquamarine where I took the standard "Old European Cut" round brilliant and stretched it into an oval. It's 2.77 ct and 10 x 8 × 6.4 mm. “ This stone has never been set. The first three pictures I took in natural lighting on a very overcast day in the northern US. My iPhone is picking up faint light green tones that I don’t see in person. The aquamarine is a light blue color. These are all rubies and sapphires and they are all natural with about 1/3 being unheated and 1/3rd being heat only and the last third is beryllium treated. There is only 3 to 5 lead glass filled ones. There is 265 total sapphires and 110 rubies. Most of them are from Madagascar and Ceylon but there is also some from Mozambique, Africa, Thailand, Myanmar/Burma, Australia and Montana. There is quite a few padparadscha sapphires that are over 1ct and an unheated one that is 2.5ct. there is also an unheated light blue/gray star sapphire that's unheated and from Myanmar that is 46.85ct and has a decent star for its size. There is a couple of almost eye clean unheated rubies over 1ct as well as a ton of eye clean ones under 1ct. There is also some yellow and green sapphires that are between 2ct and 5ct plus some nice royal blue sapphires as well. All in all there is A LOT of value in this 96 jar gem case and I'm open to offers as long as they are reasonable.
