Opals fascinate me. They didn't until I discovered the ones that weren't doublets or triplets or weren't completely opaque. This one is a 1.09 Ethopian Jelly Opal in a oval shape. It's a solid stone meaning that it's not glued together to make a single stone. The color play reminds me of a Arizona sunset or a sundevil. There are oranges, reds, greens, yellows and purples. Another stone that is seemingly impossible to photograph. ALEXANDRITE! This one is is on the petite side, it's a .47 carats and oval shape. Another one of the candy themed stalled project gemstones. The green is a bit deeper, not dark, just deeper. I guess you could call it a nyquil or the creme de menthe bottle green. The first pic is the stone tilted. I love emerald/step cut stones that are set with a tilt. This is a 3.54 carat amethyst I bought from Dana Reynolds several years ago.
