This is a truly stunning diamond taken from a piece of vintage jewelry. Despite being graded SI2 it is absolutely eye clean as the pictures show. A lovely big spread of nearly 7mm. It has an old-fashioned checkerboard effect due to the shorter lower half facets on these older stones. This creates big beautiful flashes of light. Finding stones of this age, color, and clarity that haven’t been recut is rare and so they are now highly sought after for people who want really beautiful hand cut diamonds that aren’t just the standard. It’s just come back from GIA so it has a fresh certificate and is laser inscribed on the girdle. The pictures make it look slightly red because of the decor in my house but it’s colorless and beautiful in real life. Who ever gets it will be very lucky!
