Wants a sale this weekend!
Really, this is a beautiful OE transitional that I'm selling on consignment for a client; this client is motivated to sell so offers are welcome. The diamond is very clear, eye clean, really, although there are some issues that come with the age of the cut, etc. There are no chips or obvious flaws on the girdle, crown or pavilion and it does have a visually pleasing cut...the face up is quite large, deceptively white & very beautiful. It does have slight florescence; which, in my opinion, for a K color old cut, is a positive & contributes to this diamond facing whiter than it's grade.
The stone has remarkable sparkle and as I stated, really looks very clean & white. I was a bit surprised that it came back as a round brilliant; although, it's quite obviously a European transitional cut. Anyone who has purchased from me knows that I don't "fluff" my descriptions. You get that which I detail for you.
My client is selling this stone not because it's not beautiful, but because she's looking to create a pair of stud earrings, and the color of this OEC does not match well enough to her other which was removed from the same antique piece of jewelry.
Here are the specs; just received them from the GIA; the diamond will be available to ship this Wednesday. The only photo I have presently is one taken prior to the grading. This diamond is laser inscribed by the GIA.
