Per the vendor I purchased it from "Very attractive oval light red spinel from Vietnam. Eye clean. The native cut is quite good. It’s untreated: no heat, dye, oil etc. The tone is medium-light and it has lots of sparkle. It measures approx. 6.1 x 7.2 x 3.9 mm." I think it has pink and purple in it and would describe it more as a raspberry in color. It does have a small window which the vendor thought would close up once set. It sparkles nicely for being a non-precision cut. Nice size for a pendant or a ring.
