I have too many spinels, so I'm offering a few.

I was lucky enough to nab this one from Barry B, but I've recently purchased another one that is somewhat similar to this one, and I don't need both. This is a very pretty gem. Barry described it as a "medium purple with flashes of blue in sunlight", which is a good description IMO. It shifts a bit and can look a bit lighter, almost lavender, but it is nicely saturated (without being too dark), lively, and of course the cutting is excellent. It is one of his Tunduru spinels, .95 ct, 5.7 mm round. Loose gem, never set, as new/excellent condition.
