This is an incredibly glowy copper and magnese bearing blue tourmaline, commonly called a 'paraiba tourmaline.' It's a lower saturated stone, a beautiful light blue with strong warm and cool undertones because of the minerals.
The stone is VS. The lines you see in the photo are my fingerprints - so sorry!!
The video gives you an accurate view of the color, there is a strong "brightness" coming off the stone and the brilliant cut gives great sparkly flashes. The gray undertone in the photos in much less pronounced in real life.
I purchased this stone to fit into a semi-mount that I ended up not liking almost a year ago, and just haven't gotten around to setting it. (I may have also already purchased a greenish blue tourm in the meantime, as well) I'm putting it up for sale for less than I paid to cover some new earrings I purchased.
8.25 x 8.01 x 5.83mm
