Remember when you first started collecting gemstones? This was my very first purchase, on my birthday last year (and just realizing this and thinking of how many gems I've bought and sold since then is kind of scary).

It's a large, sparkly, native cut spinel that's purplish with hints of gold and reddish flashes. It has a window, but is still beautiful. You could do so many things with it as is and the stone would be gorgeous in jewelry. Or you could send it to be re-cut into your dream shape. Just think of it!

This puppy weighs in at a massive 3.66 cts. and measures 10mm x 8.36mm x 5.47mm.
