Description

This is a 2 carat Blue Sapphire. It is unheated and not treated in any way. Measurements are 7.45, the depth is 4.80. It is round. It has never been set.

I purchased it from Joyce at Salt Gems Co.
Per Joyce: "Definitely the nicest Umba we have cut, the color reminds me of Sri Lankan blues.
It is super blue in direct sunlight, doesn't turn black indoors ( color darkens like any stone would, but you can still see the color of the body). Color shifts to an indigo/purple in warm lighting.
Sprinkling of minor inclusions within, but they are n to distracting for the clarity or the color. Joyce says the clarity is VS.
Over all an amazing blue sapphire, perfect for an engagement ring."
