A spinel I met during this trip to the gemstone trading location near Burma. Directly from mined owner, real stoplight hot red spinel. It is just too red to be called jedi spinel, however it is even more intense and more beautiful! This is a stone that one should cherish in gem box and love it for life time. A red color sample spinel.

Stone weighs 1.9ct, with a dimension of 7x7.2x5.5mm, rare to see a non-step cut, with good proportion mogok spinel, which really makes the stone shooting more red sparkles and having better than average light return.

Like most mogok spinel this one has quite a bit of inclusions, veils, noticeable seeing from behind, however, looks close to eye clean when placing between fingers. Some may call it eye clean when seeing it this way. If held with tweezers or under 10x loupe you can see some inclusions. Not much though. Overall speaking, red spinels rarely have great clarity. Especially Burmese ones. I selected this spinel from tons of red and pink spinels. If you are a color fan, you just can't resist to buy this one when comparing with others, when see it in person.
