Video taken under the same fluorescent office lamp that I take my Opal videos under. Please watch all the video as I turn the stone 360 degrees to show colors at different angles There are sone needle like inclusions in some of these stones you can see in the blown-up videos. These cannot be seen with the naked eye & are colorless, but you can see them reflect the black off my camera at some angles. Also, my fingerprints are showing through the stones these are not inclusions. This stone is eye clean in clarity.

The difference between regular blue adularescence moonstone & the adularescence of Rainbow Moonstone is you get many more colors. There is blue, violet, orange, yellow & green adularescence in these stones & they can mix to create in between colors. These are stunning stones, clear & colorless as a Diamond. Also, the colorless body crystal is quite bright! Rainbow Moonstone is enjoying rising popularity on the gemstone market.

These stones look good under sunlight, LED, fluorescent, just like Opal, but like opal they do need light to show off their colors. Rainbow Moonstone hardness is 6 to 6.5 on the mohs hardness scale. Like Peridot & Tanzanite. Large face up – 10.21 mm x 9.65 mm (25.40 mm = 1 inch)
