This is really a one of a kind stone. I’ve had many violet Spinels before, but never quite this color. It honestly looks like the violet color shift of a very nice Tanzante, with red, purple, & blue flashes under LED, or any light that supports dispersion well. It is quite strongly saturated in color, showing no gray under LED & fluorescent, but goes a little more grayish in sunlight. Even so, it has less of a color shift than any violet Spinel I’ve had.

The stone is very rich & elegant looking. A medium dark tone, but not overly dark. Flashes of color can be seen in low light, as long as it is hitting the stone directly.

Well cut. No window. A very rare color. Those who want something most don’t have in a Spinel, look no farther.
