Bright violet Spinel. Nice life to the stone. Like all violet Spinel it is more violet under indoor lighting & goes bluish under sunlight. Though the stone is commercially cut, the still pictures make the cut look much worse than is is. Please see video, as it is a much better representation. Though some pics make it look like it has a window, the stone has none face up in my fingers to my eyes.
