Opals fascinate me. They didn't until I discovered the ones that weren't doublets or triplets or weren't completely opaque. This one is a 1.09 Ethopian Jelly Opal in a oval shape. It's a solid stone meaning that it's not glued together to make a single stone. The color play reminds me of a Arizona sunset or a sundevil. There are oranges, reds, greens, yellows and purples. A bit like diochroic glass on steroids!
