Very rare model of the classic Cartier Trinity ring, an example from 1997 crafted with ample heavy solid gold, ~9.8 grams!!

Even rarer, this is a size 46 (approx. US size 4), making it the perfect decadent pinky ring. Cartier Trinity rings have been worn on the pinky finger by both men and women throughout history, including Jean Cocteau, Alain Delon and Princess Diana

Modern models of this ring just don’t have the same luxurious feel. With the rising cost of gold over the last decades, the bands are now made thinner without the bold doming to the bands that forged the signature profile that popularized this classic piece. The band width on each ring in this piece is ~3.5-4mm.

The tricolor gold shows particularly pleasing warmth and clear differentiation between the rose, yellow, and white gold bands, a characteristic often admired in well-preserved Trinity rings from this period. French eagle hallmarks are present, indicating it was crafted in France. There are also period-specific hallmarks indicating that this is an authentic Cartier 18k / 750 Classic Trinity tri-gold ring in size 46. There are minute scratches on the insides of the bands, most likely from the bands rubbing against one another.
