As much as I LUUUURVE antique pieces, I just do not wear them often, and this gorgeous ring really deserves to be worn and loved regularly! I admired this mounting on Love Affair Diamonds' website for the longest time, then took the plunge and bought it a couple of years ago, and I have since maybe worn it half a dozen or so times. I had Erica's bench resize it to a size 7, and set a 7.5 mm RB moissanite in it that was from the newer unenhanced rough (but not Forever One). This stone is gorgeous, incredibly sparkly, and has beautiful arrows that I have a hard time capturing in pictures in the setting. It's very white with no oddball coloring.
The antique mounting is platinum with beautiful millegrain, engraving and piercework; has 14 small accent diamonds (I believe they are single cuts; can try to get a picture of them with my loupe and camera if desired); and 6 channel-set baguette blue sapphires (3 on each side). In looping it to see the diamond cuts, I noticed one of the tiny sapphire baguettes appears to have a horizontal inclusion or possible scratch that is not visible to the naked eye (or even when wearing my glasses), and it does not detract at all from the beauty of this ring. I didn't have a loupe when I bought it, so it may have always been there; I can't be sure, but I want to share what I saw in the interest of transparency.
I am open to selling just the mounting, and having the Moissanite unset by a reputable bench; just email me to discuss. I also have on hand a beautiful 7.5mm OEC moissanite (classic) that has a teeny tiny table and the smallest culet I’ve ever seen that I *may* be open to replacing the RB with; just let me know if interested; it would be gorgeous in this mounting!
Only the item described above is included in this sale; any other items pictured are not included, but may be available in other listings. All items listed are from my personal collection; I am not a jeweler/gemologist/business (just a lover of all things sparkly), and describe items to the best of my ability and with pictures to reflect their condition; therefore, all sales are final with no returns. So please ask any questions prior to purchase, and/or request additional photos or video if needed, as I’m happy to provide whatever lighting, angles, etc. I can, as well as provide approximate weights if requested (though I only have a kitchen scale, so it won’t be quite as precise as a jeweler). I accept PayPal, and will ship to the U.S. via insured Priority Mail to confirmed PP addresses only. I’m open to reasonable offers, but please, no low-balls. If LT messaging appears to not go through or you do not receive a reply from me within a few hours’ time, please email me directly at jlm072174 at gmail dot com.
