This ring is also about showing some #CaliforniaLove! It is set with three benitoites, which is only found in San Benito County, CA. I set this piece with different colored stones to create a kind of ombré effect.
Benitoite fluoresces a beautiful, soft blue-white color (see photos) under shortwave UV (only shortwave), and this glow is one of the best ways to verify the authenticity of benitoite.
Ring is continuum silver, not traditional sterling silver. Look up "Stuller continuum silver" to learn more. It's nickel-free and also more tarnish resistant and a harder metal than traditional sterling.
Benitoite is a softer stone (6-6.5), so it's not recommended to wear this ring everyday.
