Another purchase I don't wear that could use a home. I wore it one time. Description is from LeolaRevives, on Etsy, as well as photos, but feel free to ask for more photos. I paid $265. Reduced from $135 t0 $110.
Diamond ring converted from a Georgian era button decoration and a handmade gold band. The diamonds are beautiful rose cuts, they are foiled. Foiling diamonds was a technique popular during the Georgian era, which consisted of taking a rose cut diamond (or other gemstone) and setting it over a closed setting, lined in silver or other colored foil. These diamonds were most likely set over a silver foil as they have a lovely grayish glow.
The gold filled and diamond decoration was originally part of a Georgian era button, the disk of the button was too damaged to be salvaged.
Materials: The antique top is made of gold filled metal with 4 genuine diamonds, the band is made of solid 14k gold from recycled gold.
Era: The diamond decoration is late Georgian, circa 1820-40, the band is newly handmade.
Condition: The diamonds are in good antique condition with some edge wear and a couple of edge nicks, they sparkle nicely. The gold filled metal has original patina and darkening. The band is newly handmade from solid 14k recycled gold. As with all foiled diamonds please do not get this ring wet and treat it gently.
Size: 7.5 approx, fits like a loose 7. Resizing is possible
