An original Art Deco ring with gorgeous filigree details and a large 10 carat zircon! This is a very special vintage ring as it was crafted completely by hand. The center stone is a blue zircon weighing approximately 10 carats (determined by formula as the gemstone is set in this ring and has not been removed). The zircon was thought to be synthetic by the vendor I purchased from and it is priced accordingly. It could be natural, however. It is original to the ring and has a wonderful pop of ocean blue.
This ring is truly a work of art made with 14k white gold with highly detailed filigree and engraved orange blossom designs on the shank. There is pink and yellow gold detailing on the top of the ring.
The ring overall has been well preserved showing little to no wear to the engraving or filigree. There are minute abrasions to the stone as viewed under a 10x loupe but it does not impact light return at all and it is not visible without magnification. The ring has a substantial size measuring 18.2mm across (north-south) and 6.8mm from the finger to the top of the ring. It is a size 4.75 but fully sizable by a competent jeweler. There is a blank space on the bottom of the shank to allow for sizing.
