The first two things that jump out about this stone are how sharp the cut looks and how amazing the color is. A Tanzanian gem dealer's first reaction at a glance was to ask whether it was a tsavorite - I think that speaks for itself.
The cut is extremely precise (see the dimensions above) and the end result is a stone with an almost 100% color return when it lights up in daylight. It could have been a 2.20-2.60 carat conventional oval or trillion, but despite the rare and excellent color the rough was mercilessly cut down to produce the best looking stone without any regard for weight.
On top of that, the brilliance pattern is very pleasant - much more so than most trillion variations.
Photos are diffused overcast daylight and 5000K lamplight.
Tracked and insured shipping is included.
